Yates Construction provided design-build services for the new 155,600 SF, five-story federal courthouse. The facility includes six courtrooms, nine chambers, detention areas, office space for clerks and marshals, and a below-grade secured tenant parking garage. The new courthouse will house U.S. District Judges, a U.S. District Clerk, a U.S. Magistrate Court, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Yates also provided construction services for the modernization of the John A. Campbell Courthouse. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 115,000 SF building was originally constructed in 1932. The project includes reusing four existing courtrooms and seven existing judges’ chambers, abating hazardous materials, and improving the tenant and public spaces. Yates Construction completed all interior construction following the Secretary of Interior’s standards to maintain the building’s historical integrity.
