Charger Village Residence Hall and Dining Facility

The University of Alabama Huntsville

Yates Construction provided construction services to the University of Alabama for the Residence Hall and Dining Facility project. The five-story, 162,000 SF student residential facility comprises 24 two-bedroom, one-bath units and 88 four-bedroom, two-bath units. Each unit has a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, and each floor has a shared kitchen with an oven and stove. The first level includes a study, game, and multipurpose rooms. Levels two through five each hold a laundry room, two study rooms, and two lounges. Site amenities include a courtyard on the north side of the building with outdoor tables and grills. The one-story dining facility includes multiple food vendors and a convenience store. A student courtyard and an open grass area with bike racks are outside the dining area. This project achieved LEED® Silver certification.
