Yates Construction provided design-build services for the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) project. Designed to house 582 residents, this facility offers assisted living, memory support, and long-term care units for the individuals who faithfully served our country. The 817,000 SF project comprises three towers with a shared community area and a parking garage for 400 vehicles. The facility has administrative, accounting, security, recreation, and facilities management offices. Amenities include a commercial kitchen that serves over 600 meals three times a day and recreational areas. The facility features a seven-day sustainability design in the event of a category-five hurricane and can provide continued HVAC, potable water, electricity, sewage treatment, and fire protection. The project achieved LEED® Gold Certification.
